I went to a board game party. On the way I tested the new iPhone 2.0 software map:

  • holy crap! I <3 iPhone 2.0! the new map actually does a half-decent job of pretending to do gps. who needs iPhone 3g? hahaha #
  • only problems? it eats a LOT of battery and the phone does kinda get hot-ish over time. I guess begging cell towers for location is intense #

I thought I was a nerd. Not compared to the host:

  • sweet. we went out for dinner to avoid “greasing up the cards” and I got a total lesson on armored cars from a real life car armorer guy. #

Twits

Twitter I have to admit I thought Twitter was retarded. I think that is probably because I took a look at Twitter a long time ago right after it was released. I don’t think anyone really knew what to make of Twitter early on so the general usage at the time seemed to be just answering the question that Twitter imagined you’d be answering: What are you doing now?

Since I really wasn’t interested in what hundreds of strangers, or even my rare friends, were doing every… single… moment… of… the… day I also had no real interest in Twitter. After all the initial feeds I saw were inane. Not only that they were unnecessarily excessive. It was almost like stream of consciousness writing, except the author wasn’t any good.
