Commuter Baggery
I have been struggeling with my bag situation. I solved the shoe problem with a golf shoe bag. It works well for the shoe situation, but that still leaves me with an overall laptop/general bag problem. I ended up with a Tumi Norfolk Convertible Computer Messenger Backpack.
It’s a nice bag, although overpriced. Not that I don’t mind paying for quality. Unfortunately though this bag wasn’t well designed and so my opinion about it being overpriced stands. The problem with the bag is that the things in the small pockets, pen holders, etc. are all basically completely unprotected. The front flap is so badly designed that it doesn’t close the bag properly. I don’t like that, especially in tight quarters on the bus or light rail. I bought it at TJ Maxx so I got it on discount and don’t feel so bad about the price, but I still need to find the right bag.
I think I might have found a solution: BBP Bags
A couple days ago I found an online discussion about computer bags and started reading through all the comments and replies. One bag stood out and when I went to go check out the website it was even on sale, although even without the sale the bags seem to be very well priced. They remind me of timbuk2 bags, but with slightly lower prices.
I have ordered one of the Street Flow Collection bags and it should arrive sometime this week.
