I was a little worried when I received a notice from the running store saying that the Gel-Nimbus 9 was being discontinued. I received the notice several months ago. Since the shoes I currently have seem to be wearing out (yes, you really should change your running shoes often) I was extra worried.

Then over the weekend I received the new catalog from roadrunnersports.com. Lo and behold… the Gel-Nimbus 10:

So since I needed new shoes I ordered some right away. The initial reviews by people that had bought them were very encouraging: People who had upgraded from the 9 to the 10 were pleased with the changes.

The shoes arrived last night. I ordered the nifty red ones. I haven’t had a chance to go out and run in them yet, but so far they feel great. I wore them to work. I know my wife thinks I look stupid in casual business dress with running shoes… but I did resign so… I don’t really need to impress people here.

I’ll see if I can get out there this evening and get a run in. It’s starting to get hot so I’m not really excited about running outdoors right now after being spoiled by cool weather for the last 8-9 months.
